Wine

Our focus in building this world class cellar is to choose wines and spirits from around the world, with an emphasis on the seven nations that originally settled Louisiana and are the backbone of Cajun & Creole cuisine.

Restaurant R’evolution features a custom-built glass and wood wine cellar with a capacity of 10,000 bottles selected from around the world, with a special emphasis on wines from the ancestral homelands of Louisiana’s seven nations. These include France, Spain, Italy, and Germany.

There are many ways to explore the nearly exponential diversity of the world of wine. Not every restaurant can explore every region equally, and nor should they. At R’evolution we are committed to diving deep into the wines from all the aforementioned nations, but from our perch in the French Quarter, Vin de France will always reign supreme.

In our case that means a heavy emphasis on the excellence of Champagne, Bordeaux, Burgundy, and the Rhône Valley. To that end we are fortunate to have amassed depth in some of France’s greatest producers, including Château Palmer, Château Petrus, Château La Mission Haut-Brion, Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, and E. Guigal, as well as many under the radar delights.

As R’evolution enters its thirteenth year bringing mouthwatering food to the table, and joy to our guests, we know the wine program must continue to evolve and deepen in tandem. That means unique pairings with our Chef’s Tasting menu; a deeper dive into the wines of California, Sicily, and the Canary Islands; high-quality by-the-glass offerings; and always, a commitment to sourcing vintage wines that are ready to drink, and rare gems you can’t find anywhere else.

Most importantly, R’evolution seeks to make great wine an adventure for our guests, filled with the exuberance of sharing something special. Dinners will continue to be an integral part of our DNA, as well as hosting smaller wine seminars and events.

On Monday’s, we don’t charge corkage.

We want you here, and we want to start a discussion, everyone’s favorite discussion, with you…
